Tolu Bankole Felicitates Pope Leo XIV on His Election as Supreme Pontiff

A Member of the National Working Committee, All Progressives Congress (APC), Aare Hon. Tolu Bankole, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, on his election as the new head of the Roman Catholic Church.

In a statement issued on Friday, Aare Bankole described the emergence of Pope Leo XIV as a defining moment for the Catholic Church and the world, expressing optimism that his leadership will usher in a renewed era of peace, justice, and inclusiveness.

“I extend my profound congratulations to His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, on this historic ascension to the sacred office of the Bishop of Rome. The global community looks forward to a papacy that will inspire compassion, uphold human dignity, and foster unity among nations,” the statement read.

He further noted that the Persons With Disabilities community in Nigeria joins the global Christian family in celebrating the election of the new pontiff, while offering prayers for strength, wisdom, and divine guidance throughout his tenure.

“May the Lord bless His Holiness with the grace to lead the flock with courage and humility in these times of global uncertainty.

“Ad multos annos, Your Holiness,” he added
