A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aare (Hon.) Durotolu Oyebode Bankole, has congratulated Ogun State and its people as the state marks its 50th anniversary.

In a statement signed on Monday, Bankole described the golden jubilee as a celebration of resilience, enterprise and excellence, noting that the milestone goes beyond the passage of time.

“This golden jubilee is far more than the mere passage of time. It is a celebration of five decades of unwavering resilience, boundless enterprise, relentless innovation, and consistent excellence,” he said.

The APC chieftain said Ogun State has remained a cradle of pioneers, producing leaders, thinkers, industrialists, artists and patriots who have contributed significantly to national and global development.

He said the journey of the state reflects a blend of rich cultural heritage, strong historical roots and growing industrial capacity, adding that Ogun has continued to attract investors and opportunities.

“Ogun State continues to shine as a beacon of opportunity, hope, and limitless potential for all who call her home and for those who choose to invest in her future,” Bankole stated.

He commended the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun for what he described as purposeful and people-centred leadership since assuming office.

Bankole noted that the state has recorded major improvements in infrastructure, industrial growth, education, security and the economy under the current administration.

“Under his administration, Ogun State has witnessed unprecedented strides in critical sectors,” he said, adding that these efforts have positioned the state as one of Nigeria’s most attractive investment destinations.

The APC NWC member also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to supporting the state government’s agenda for inclusive growth and sustainable development.

“As members of the All Progressives Congress, we remain deeply committed to supporting the administration’s agenda for inclusive prosperity, sustainable development, and the continued upliftment of every segment of our society,” he said.

Bankole urged residents to remain united and hopeful as the state looks ahead to a new chapter of growth and progress.
He congratulated the people once again, saying the state’s future remains bright.

“Happy 50th Anniversary to the great people of Ogun State. We are proud of how far we have come, and we are profoundly inspired by the boundless future that lies ahead,” he added.

He ended the message with the state’s popular slogan: “Ọmọ Ògùn… Iṣẹ́yá!”
