Arsenal Cruise Into UCL Quarter-Finals as PSG Thrash Chelsea

Arsenal FC booked their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with a comfortable 2–0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Tuesday’s round of 16 second-leg clash.
The Premier League side delivered a composed performance at home, scoring in each half to seal progression and continue their impressive run in Europe this season.
After an evenly balanced opening, Eberechi Eze broke the deadlock with a stunning half-volley into the top corner, giving the Gunners a deserved lead heading into the break.
Declan Rice then wrapped up the victory in the 64th minute, firing a precise shot from outside the box into the bottom corner to secure his first Champions League goal of the campaign.
The win marks a significant milestone for Arsenal, who have now reached the quarter-finals for the third consecutive season. It also ends a poor run against German opposition in Europe, with the club recording its first knockout victory over a Bundesliga side in six attempts.
Mikel Arteta’s men will next face Sporting CP, who staged an emphatic comeback to eliminate Bodø/Glimt. Sporting overturned a three-goal first-leg deficit with a dominant 5–0 win in Portugal to progress 5–3 on aggregate.
Elsewhere, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain produced a ruthless display to defeat Chelsea FC 3–0 at Stamford Bridge, completing an 8–2 aggregate triumph.
Goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu sealed a one-sided contest, underlining PSG’s dominance over the two legs.
In another tie, Real Madrid CF secured their place in the last eight with a 2–1 win over Manchester City FC, who were reduced to ten men during the encounter. The Spanish giants progressed 5–1 on aggregate, eliminating City for the second consecutive season.
With the quarter-final line-up now taking shape, Europe’s elite clubs are edging closer to the final stages of the competition.
