Thugs Assault, Strip Suspended Owo Council Chairman

Chaos unfolded on Monday at the Owo Local Government Secretariat in Ondo State after suspected thugs attacked a suspended council chairman, beating and stripping him in a dramatic confrontation that sent workers and residents fleeing.
The incident reportedly occurred when the embattled chairman arrived at the secretariat to resume duties after spending about six months on suspension, triggering tension that quickly escalated into violence.
Eyewitnesses described a scene of panic as armed men stormed the premises, disrupting official activities and forcing staff to abandon their offices.

Sources within the council alleged that the attackers descended on the chairman shortly after his arrival, subjecting him to assault before stripping him in full public view.
