The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored electricity supply following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation in Abuja.
TCN restored supply at 4:08 p.m. on Sunday after completing work to address a fault on Apo Lines 1 and 2 between Towers T130 and T132.
The company said engineers carried out OPGW latching on the two 132kV transmission lines as part of the repair work.
Following the successful completion of the operation, it restored power supply to affected areas.
The company apologised for the inconvenience caused by the outage and thanked electricity customers for their patience and understanding during the exercise.
“The intervention formed part of its efforts to maintain a reliable and efficient transmission network and improve electricity supply across the country.” the company noted.
