Gunmen Abduct Police Officer, Spouse In Taraba.
Suspected gunmen have abducted a police officer at Mile 6 vicinity of Jalingo, Taraba State.
The policeman, known as Gamaliel, was kidnapped along with his spouse and a child, on Sunday morning.
The Taraba State Police Command’s representative, SP Usman Abdullahi, verified the occurrence and stated that a female individual was shot and later pronounced deceased at the medical facility during the assault.
The constable, as stated by Abdullahi, is an active-duty police officer assigned to the Rivers State Command.
“The kidnappers came and scaled through the fence and kidnapped one police officer attached to Rivers State Command by the name Gamaliel. In the process, they kidnapped his wife and daughter. They shot him and a woman in the house. The woman was confirmed dead at the Federal Medical Centre.
“The command is working to make sure they are rescued unhurt”, said Abdullahi.
