Third Mainland Bridge: FG announces closure of all 4 ramps from Monday

The Federal Government has disclosed its intention to close four ramps leading in and out of the Third Mainland Bridge on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 7am.

The Federal Controller of Works, Lagos, Mrs. O. I. Kesha said this in a statement yesterday, titled ‘Notification of Closure of All Ramps by 7am On Monday, 20th of November, 2023’.

According to Mrs. Kesha, “The federal government, through the Federal Ministry of Works, wishes to inform the motoring public that the government has perfected plans to carry out comprehensive repairs of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

“In view of the above, the motoring public are hereby notified that all four ramps connecting Adekunle to TMB will be closed at the same going forward.

“Consequently, motorists are hereby advised to use alternative routes while cooperating with the traffic management officials deployed to manage traffic and ensure hitch-free movement.”

As things stand, motorists cannot exit the bridge to Adekunle or enter the bridge from Adekunle but the lanes leading to Oworosoki will be open to traffic.
