CBN Gov. to present 2024 economic roadmap at CIBN Nov. 24 Event

Nigerians will have a glimpse of the plans of the new governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, at the 2023 Annual Bankers Dinner of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

Christened ‘The Gover­nors Day’, the event provides Cardoso the opportunity to address stakeholders on the economic and financial mar­kets development during the year as well as the economic outlook for the coming year.

Cardoso will use the op­portunity to reel out the plans of the apex bank for 2024 at the event to be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victo­ria Island, Lagos by 5:00p.m.

The Chartered Insti­tute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) also holds the grand finale of its 60th anniversa­ry celebration, underscoring six decades of unwavering commitment to profession­alism, integrity, innovation and ethics in the banking and finance industry. A testament to the Institute’s enduring dedication to these core values that have defined its journey and significant growth over the years.

An exceptionally presti­gious and anticipated gath­ering, the dinner and 60th anniversary celebration is expected to draw a distin­guished assembly of over 500 leaders hailing from the banking industry, influential business leaders, and senior government officials from the banking industry, influential business leaders, and senior government officials.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Governor Babatunde Sanwo-Olu of Lagos are expected to deliver the goodwill messages while Dr. Ken Opara, FCIB Presi­dent/Chairman of Council, CIBN, will give the welcome address.
