APC begins early preparation to take over Anambra in 2025

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is leaving no stone unturned in its efforts to take over South-Eastern States of the country as stakeholders stormed the party’s National Secretariat on Wednesday in a bid to add Anambra to its political kitty, come 2025.

Out of the five States in the region, only Ebonyi and Imo are being controlled by APC while Abia, Anambra and Enugu are Labour Party (LP), All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) States respectively.

The National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje while playing host to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, his counterparts in Nasarawa, Abdullahi Sule; Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni; Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq; Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Senator Andy Uba, Senator Uche Ekwunife and other APC bigwigs from Anambra state at the National Secretariat in Abuja, on Wednesday, boasted that the party is now ready to win  governorship, state, and National Assemblies elections in Anambra.

He noted that a viable blueprint has been approved by President Bola Tinubu on how the ruling party could ‘liberate’ the people of the region politically.

Addressing journalists after hours of closed-door meeting, Ganduje said, “The calibre of people that are here today from Anambra, and not only from Anambra State but the South-East geopolitical zone, made me happy. I am so happy that they are here in the name of the APC. I would like to let you know that Mr President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved our blueprint for the political liberation of the South East to the APC.

” He has approved the political emancipation, intervention and de-marginalisation of the South-East. Be with one voice because if you speak with one voice, your voice will be louder. We need you to be united.

“So you can see that Anambra APC will win the next governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and other grassroots elections. What we are simply telling you is that the South-East zone is coming into national politics and the region will be dominated by the APC. That is why they are here today.”

Also speaking, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma emphasised that it is important for people of his region to take advantage of APC to come to national politics.

“Arising from the statement of the National Chairman of our great party which is consistent with our desire as a political party to dominate. It is important that APC as a political party becomes the vehicle for the South-East region to be fully integrated into the national project, that is the Nigerian project.

“So we are determined in our region to be part and parcel of the Nigerian politics. Consistent with that, we are going to do our best to ensure the five states in the South-eastern region are dominated by APC by endearing our party to the people,” he stated.
