Man City squander two early goals, draw Crystal Palace

Manchester City missed the chance to go second on the Premier League table after squandering a two-goal lead against Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side scored twice in the first 45 minutes of the game in what looked like a routine win for the defending champions. But Jean Phillippe-Mateta’s 76th-minute strike gave the Eagles a lifeline. Michael Olise then scored a stoppage-time spot kick to help his side share the spoils with Manchester City.
