Suspected cultists abduct, deflower 14-year-old girl In Rivers

Two suspected cultists identified as Precious a.k.a Pere and Chidebere a.k.a B2K on Wednesday allegedly abducted a 14 year old girl around 10am, whisked her to their apartment at National street, Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt and raped her in turns.

A source in the area who pleaded anonymity said that the suspects after deflowering their victim, who was a virgin, threatened to kill her should she report the matter to anyone.

It was gathered that the property where the crime was committed belonged to one of the suspect’s family.

It was however learnt that the suspects following the crime fled to evade arrest and prosecution.

Confirming the incident, the Vice Chairperson, Centre for Basic Rights Protection And Accountability Campaign in Rivers State, Jennifer Stephens, said the suspects have been using their apartment to rape innocent girls.

Stephens, who condemned the crime, urged the Police to expedite action in tracking and arresting the fleeing suspects.

She said, “Now that the matter has been reported to the Police,We call on the Police to expedite action to arrest the fleeing suspects to ensure justice is done and seen to be done in the circumstance.

“We equally call on the Police to invite the landlord/landlady or whosoever that is in charge of the building for questioning as we await the arrest of the suspects” she said.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the Police were currently trailing the suspects, adding that investigation had been launched to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.

She revealed that the female victim had been admitted to a hospital were she is currently receiving medical care.
