JUST IN: Herbert Wigwe’s father not Dead

Shyngle Wigwe, father of the late Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings Plc is well and alive.

Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, in his 80s, was said to have slumped following the shock of his billionaire son, Herbert Wigwe; daughter-in-law, Chizoba, and grandson, Chizzy.

However, a credible police source dismissed the wild news outrightly, saying that Herbert Wigwe’s father was “Hale and hearty”.

The source added: “Even the Senate President (Godswill Akpabio) met and prayed for him.

“The story of Pa Wigwe’s collapse is totally false. We should allow the family to mourn its dead and not add to the pain by writing false stories,” the source added.

The former DG NTA lost his first son Osita Wigwe on June 5, 1997 in a road accident while travelling from Lagos to Port Harcourt.

At the time, he was attending a ministers’ conference at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

“I never sweated like that in my life before and I didn’t think it was going to happen to me. For weeks, I couldn’t go up to the altar. I went, then I wept, and I came down. It was like somebody took a pair of forceps to draw out your heart from you,” he said in an interview barely a year after the death of the first son.

National Periscope gathered that the remains of Wigwe have been interred at a private cemetery within the Wigwe University premises in Isiokpo.

Recall that Wigwe and his family members died when a chopper heading to Las Vegas crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on February 9, 2024.

He left Lagos State, Nigeria, on Wednesday, February 7 to watch the Super Bowl 58, an American football competition.

The LVIII was held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
