Yusuf nominates Kwankwaso’s son, 3 others as commissioners

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has nominated Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, son of the former New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, along with three others, as Commissioners.
He has also sent the list to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Falgore, who confirmed the nomination at plenary, said the screening of the commissioner-nominees would begin early next week.
Others on the list included Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Usman Shehu Aliyu, and Abduljabbar Garko.
Yusuf had warned all the commissioners that their appointments were based on six months probation.
“I am reminding you that your appointment is on probation of six months period after a monitoring and evaluation team under my headship will be monitoring the performances of the Ministries,” he said.
He however, promised to reward the best-performing commissioners, while those who underperformed would be pulled out of his government.
