Alleged corruption: Ganduje, wife, son, others to appear in Kano Court April 17

Baring any last-minute change, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; his wife, Professor Hafsat Ganduje; his son, Umar Abdullahi, and six other persons are to be arraigned before a Kano State High Court on April 17, 2024.
According to a court summon sighted by journalists in Kano on Tuesday, the former two-time governor of Kano State, and seven others are to be arraigned on eight-count charges concerning bribery allegation, diversion and alleged misappropriation of funds, among others.
The Kano State Government, in the criminal suit filed against the eight respondents, said it has assembled 15 witnesses for the case.
Other respondents in the suit are Abubakar Bawuro, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Ltd, Safari Textiles Ltd and Lesage General Enterprises.
The matter, which has been fixed for April 17, 2024, is before Justice Usman Malam Na’aba of the State High Court number four in Kano.
