
BREAKING: Former deputy gov Agboola Ajayi wins Ondo PDP primary

A former deputy governor of Ondo state, Agboola Ajayi, has emerged as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November governorship election.
He polled 264 votes at the party primary while his closest rival, a former member of the House of Representatives, Kolade Akinjo, got 157 votes.
The deputy governor of Bayelsa, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who chaired the electoral committee that supervised the primary poll, announced the results on Thursday in Akure, the state capital.
The results of the election contested by seven aspirants is as follows:
