AIG Aghualor bags IHRO-AFRICA Humanitarian Icon Award
•Affirms commitment to peace and development in Nigeria.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13 Ukpo in Anambra State, Godwin Aghaulor Ndidi, has become the second Nigerian to receive the IHRO-Africa Union Agenda 2063 Humanitarian Icon awards.
The first recipient, Uche Nnaji who is the current minister of Science & technology appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu(GCFR) received the award in 2023 in recognition of his commitment to promoting socioeconomic development in Nigeria through the use of ICT.
AIG Aghualor’s award also comes on the heels of his outstanding performance in coordinating the security affairs of the once turbulent and violence -ridden zone into a haven of peace and development.
The award was presented to him in his office on Friday by members of International Human Rights Observatory Africa under the Aegis of International Royal Academy of the United Nations led by Amb Dr Chimbo Obieze, the ambassador at large IRUAN-IHRO Africa to Nigeria.

Presenting the award, Dr Chimbo said that IHRO-AFRICA is committed to defending human rights across Africa by providing support and assistance to key institutions and individuals who are saddled with the responsibility of promoting peace, socioeconomic development as well as the integration of African States.
The recipient, Aig Aghaulor, in his response thanked IHRO-AFRICA for the recognition and promised to continue to defend the rights of all Nigerians by ridding her communities of criminal elements that pose a threat to the peace and progress of Nigeria.
International Human Rights Observatory (IHRO) Africa is an international and non profit organization (NGO) dedicated to implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at Regional, National and International levels.
