Ndokwa Youths drum support for Senator Ned Nwoko’s Anioma State creation Bill

In a collective aspiration, over 350 Ndokwa and Ukwuani Youths have unanimously endorsed the Anioma State’s creation to ensure maximum representation in the state.

A statement signed by Comrade Steve Okushi, National President of Ndokwa Voiceful Youth Union (Delta North), said the clamor is anchored on advocating for jobs, empowerment, reliable electricity, better roads, and clean waters admonishing that it is the right of the citizens to enjoy basic amenities in the state.

He noted that the group aims to call for swift response by the government and stakeholders to meet the critical needs of its citizens for the dividends of democracy and good governance.

The Ndokwa Ukwuani Youth Association (NUYA) recently gathered hundreds of young leaders and community representatives for a pivotal summit. Presided over by NUYA President General, Chief Ifeanyi Kingsley Enuenwosu, also known as Chief Sen Rich Kay, the summit was a forum for tackling pressing regional issues, brainstorming solutions, and unifying their stance on pivotal matters.

“We will be led by our own,” reflecting the pride and hope that Anioma State would instill in the Ndokwa and Ukwuani areas.

They called for robust job creation initiatives to combat unemployment and its associated socio-economic challenges.

“We urge the government and private sector to establish industries and support entrepreneurship, we also demand strong vocational training, skill acquisition programs, and microfinance access. Empowerment initiatives to harness youth’s potential, reduce dependency, and promote self-reliance.

“The erratic electricity supply disrupts daily life and stifles economic activities. We call for significant improvements in power infrastructure.

“The deplorable state of roads in Ndokwaland is a major concern. Poor roads hinder transportation, trade, and access to essential services. Access to clean drinking water remains a critical issue,” the group demanded.

The youth stressed the importance of providing pipe-borne water to improve public health and reduce water-borne diseases.”

The group comprises Youth President Generals from various communities across the three Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Ndokwa Nation lend their voices to these urgent calls with emphasis on the hazardous Agbor/Sapele road, which requires immediate repairs to prevent further accidents, even as they commended Senator Ned Nwoko for his outstanding representation and dedication to their cause.
