Hon. Idem congratulates Udotong family for son’s Buckingham Palace award

One of the most outstanding Honourable Members in the 10th Assembly, Hon. Unyime Idem, recently celebrated with the Udotong family as their son, Anthony Udotong, was honored with the prestigious Coronation Exhibition Award in the Youth Category at Buckingham Palace.

In a statement made available to National Periscope, Idem, a member representing Oruk Anam/Ukanafun federal constituency in the Nigeria Federal House of Representatives, described the feat as a well deserved one.

Anthony, a standout graduate of Cinnaminson High School’s Class of 2024, received the award for his exceptional dedication and contributions to youth empowerment and educational equity during the academic year 2023-2024.

Anthony’s academic journey is marked by numerous accolades, including the National African American Recognition Award for his PSAT performance, the President’s Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, and the AP Scholar Award for his achievements on AP exams. He also served as Student Council President for four years and led the Cinnaminson Diversity and Alumni Student Council for two years.

In addition to his academic prowess, Anthony excelled in sports, music, and languages. He was a three-year varsity football athlete and team captain, earning All-Conference First Team honors and being featured on multiple “Players to Watch” lists.

Anthony’s recognition at Buckingham Palace was part of an educational tour led by Professor Chris Imafidon, Chair of ExcellenceInEducation.org.UK. The tour included visits to the British Parliament, Oxford University, and Cambridge University, reinforcing Anthony’s commitment to global educational excellence.

Anthony’s artistic talents were evident from an early age when he played the recorder in fifth grade and continued to nurture his musical interests. Furthermore, he has demonstrated linguistic proficiency by studying French, enhancing his cultural and communicative skills.

His participation in the Commonwealth Africa Summit in 2024 further underscored his dedication, where he contributed to discussions on engaging Gen Zers in the NFT and crypto space.

During the summer of 2023, Anthony attended Brown University’s Summer Program, studying courses such as ‘Philosophy of Mind’ and ‘Ethics of Technology’. This experience deepened his understanding of the intersection between technology and social consciousness. With three years of experience working at two Web3 companies and starting his own, Anthony has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field.

Recently invited by Triton Consulting NYC as a guest speaker at the “Teens That Mean Business (TTMB)” workshop, Anthony shared his insights about Web3 with high school entrepreneurs, reflecting his passion for youth empowerment and technological innovation.

Idem, while congratulating Anthony and his family on this remarkable achievement, said “I am thrilled to see Anthony receive this well-deserved recognition. Anthony’s achievements and dedication have been rightfully recognized with the Coronation Exhibition Award. He hopes to pursue a college degree with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Technology, continuing his journey of academic and personal excellence.
