Princess Sandra Oladele Foundation receives ACGSIAA Prestigious Award 2024 amid loud ovation 

JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The Princess Sandra Oladele Foundation (PSOF) was honored with the prestigious NGO Award 2024 by the Apata Community Grammar School Ibadan Alumni Association (ACGSIAA), at the Founder’s Day celebration and Award/Gala Night held at the elegant Jogor Centre, off Liberty Road, Ibadan last Thursday.

The award was presented to PSOF in recognition of its outstanding efforts and commitment to giving adequate support to ACGSIAA. 

The founder of the NGO, Dr. (Pastor) Princess Sandra W. Oladele, received the award on behalf of the organization amidst a loud ovation from the guests in attendance.

Addressing  journalists at the occasion, Princess Oladele expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God and ACGSIAA for the recognition. 

She also pledged to continue working towards making a positive impact on humanity, saying “This award is not just for me, but for the entire PSOF family and our partners who have worked tirelessly to make our vision a reality. We will continue to strive for excellence and do more for humanity.”

Princess Oladele, while lamenting the poor standard of living in the country, appealed to elites to be sensitive to the plight of the less privileged and also called on citizens to be their brothers’ keeper.

“People, especially the less privileged are going through a lot in the society, our foundation is out to lend a helping hand to them in our own little way. 

“We are not doing this for a show off but something that was born out of a deep passion to serve humanity. We believe service to humanity is the purest form of service to God as clearly stated in the scripture. We definitely can’t be everything to everyone but we can be something to someone,” she said.

The President of ACGSIAA, who presented the award to PSOF, commended the organization for its outstanding contributions to the development of the community. He said “PSOF has been a shining example of what it means to be committed to making a difference in people’s lives. We are proud to recognize their efforts and look forward to continuing our partnership with them.”

The Princess Sandra Oladele Foundation is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a vision and mission to empower and develop people, giving them a better life. The organization has been actively involved in various community development projects and has made significant impact in the lives of many individuals and families.

The Founder’s Day celebration and award/Gala Night was attended by prominent dignitaries from across Nigeria, including academics, politicians, business leaders, and other stakeholders. Notable amongst them was the former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

The event was marked by a series of activities, including a lecture, awards presentation, and entertainment.
