APC Congratulates Aiyedatiwa on Landslide Victory in Ondo State Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warmly congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa following his impressive victory in the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday.
In a statement released on Sunday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, expressed the party’s pride in Aiyedatiwa’s achievements and the support he received from the electorate.
Aiyedatiwa, who represented the APC, was declared the winner by the State Returning Officer, Professor Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja.
The results revealed Aiyedatiwa garnered a commanding 366,781 votes, overshadowing his closest competitor, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who secured 117,845 votes.
In his statement, Morka highlighted the significance of Aiyedatiwa’s victory: “Your Excellency’s resounding victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election is a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes, and campaign message of hope and consolidation have resonated deeply with the electorate.”
He emphasized the commitment of Aiyedatiwa to continue the progress made during his first term, stating, “With this renewed mandate, we are confident that you will build upon your accomplishments and take the state to even greater heights of social and economic development for the benefit of the good people of Ondo State.”
Morka also acknowledged the critical roles played by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies in ensuring a fair election.
“We commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for their professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of their constitutional roles during the election,” he said.
As the APC celebrates its electoral success, Morka concluded with gratitude to the Electorates in the Sunshine State: “We thank the Ondo electorate for their sustained and highly valued support of our great Party.”
