Property and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed as early morning fire razed the only market in Trademore Estate, Phase II Lugbe Abuja.
National Periscope gathered that the fire started at about 3.30 am when Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) restored power supply.

According to an eyewitness, simply identified as Mr. Nobert, the fire spread into the shop, adding that no life was lost.
“The spark came from an electric pole that spread into the shops with no loss of life,” he said.
The whole shops were already razed before the arrival of men of the Federal Fire Service from EFCC and Sauka Station arrived two hours later to put the fire off.
The owners of the shops were seen crying bitterly over the unfortunate incident.
