
Edun, Cardoso Meet to Deepen Fiscal-Monetary Policy Alignment

Against the backdrop of inflation easing to 22.97% in May 2025, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, yesterday visited the Central Bank of Nigeria to deepen fiscal–monetary policy alignment.
According to a statement signed by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga, the discussions focused on sustaining and accelerating the momentum, essential to stabilising prices, boosting investor confidence, and empowering private sector-led growth.
The meeting also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to collaborative economic management, signalling a renewed focus on driving sustainable growth and development in Nigeria.
