JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

A member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and National Leader of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in the party, Aare (Hon.) Tolu Bankole, has congratulated Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, on his unanimous election as the National Chairman of the APC.
In a congratulatory message personally signed by him on Friday, Bankole described Prof. Yilwatda’s emergence as “historic, deeply reassuring, and a sign of renewed hope for the party at a time when visionary and reform-oriented leadership is most needed.”
The NWC member noted that Prof. Yilwatda’s impressive credentials; spanning academia, electoral reforms, humanitarian service, and digital innovation, uniquely position him to lead the APC into a new era of inclusive and accountable governance.
“Your track record as an academic, technocrat, and reformer in both public and private spheres gives us every confidence that the future of the APC is in safe hands,” Bankole said. “Your consistent advocacy for the vulnerable, particularly Persons with Disabilities, and your commitment to the ideals of good governance mark you out as a transformational leader.”
Bankole pledged his full support to the new APC National Chairman and expressed optimism that Prof. Yilwatda’s leadership will further unify the party and strengthen its position ahead of future electoral contests.
He added that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, whose presidency will constitutionally run its full course until 2031, remains focused on delivering his Renewed Hope Agenda. “No coalition of confusion can stop what God has ordained. The mandate will be renewed by Nigerians and the APC under Prof. Yilwatda’s leadership will only grow stronger.”
He prayed for wisdom, strength, and grace for Prof. Yilwatda as he begins the task of repositioning the party for greater success.
