Ododo Hails Officials for Support Over Father’s Demise
JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has expressed appreciation to government officials and political appointees in the Kogi State government for their solidarity to his family during the demise of his late father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani.
This was disclosed in a message signed by the Governor, who described the late patriarch as a pillar of strength whose life was defined by humility, discipline and service to God and humanity.
Governor Ododo noted that his father’s passing was a painful loss, but the outpouring of emotions and sympathies from colleagues and well-wishers reaffirmed the unity and bond that define the people of Kogi State.
He noted that the experience, though difficult, reflected the vision of togetherness laid since 2016 by his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, adding that the support he received cuts across ethnic and religious lines.
“From the Deputy Governor to every official, you stood with my family when we needed it most. Your actions brought comfort in our grief and lightened the burden of this irreparable loss,” the Governor stated.
“On behalf of my family, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to all who identified with us. Your compassion is consoling, and may God Almighty bless you with wisdom, strength, and grace,” he maintained.
Governor Ododo reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining peace, unity, and harmony in the state, stressing that the solidarity demonstrated during his family’s trying moment is a true testament to the resilience of the Kogi people when they stand together.
