APC Inaugurates 2026 National Convention Committee Wednesday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will on Wednesday inaugurate its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee as part of preparations for the party’s forthcoming national convention.

This was disclosed in a statement signed on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Felix Morka.

According to the statement, the inauguration is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the NWC Hall of the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The party named former Katsina State Governor and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Bello Masari, as Chairman of the Committee.

Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, will serve as Vice Chairman I, while the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been appointed Vice Chairman II.

Also appointed is the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, who will serve as Treasurer. The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, will serve as Secretary of the Committee.

The statement noted that the full list of leaders and members of the Committee remains as earlier published by the party.

According to Morka, the Committee is expected to coordinate all activities leading to the peaceful and successful conduct of the APC’s 2026 National Convention.

The inauguration marks a key step in the party’s build-up to the convention, which is expected to shape its leadership structure and strategic direction ahead of future political engagements.
