FRSC Reshuffles Senior Officers, Appoints New Operations Chief, Spokesperson

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has approved a major redeployment of senior officers as part of efforts to strengthen the agency’s operations and improve service delivery nationwide.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the Assistant Corps Commander in charge of Administration and the Corps Public Education Office, Agboola Olundegun.

According to the statement, the shake-up is aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, improving institutional coordination and repositioning the Corps to better carry out its statutory mandate.

As part of the new postings, the immediate past Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, has been appointed Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operations at the FRSC National Headquarters in Abuja.

In his new role, Ogungbemide will oversee the Corps’ nationwide enforcement coordination and strategic field operations. He previously served as Sector Commander in Lagos State and is a member of the National Institute.

The redeployment also saw Felicia Kalu, formerly Deputy Corps Public Education Officer, elevated to the position of Acting Corps Public Education Officer. She will now lead the Corps’ public communication, media engagement and nationwide road safety advocacy campaigns.

In other changes, Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede has been redeployed from Sector Commander of the Katsina Sector Command to assume duty as Corps Intelligence Officer at the FRSC National Headquarters.

To replace him, Corps Commander HA Ibrahim has been moved from the FRSC Academy, where he served as Corps Commander in charge of Manpower, to take over as Sector Commander of the Katsina Command.

Similarly, Corps Commander HA Ogundayo has been redeployed from the National Traffic Radio unit at the Corps Public Education Office to serve as Corps Commander (National Traffic Radio) at the Corps Marshal’s Office.

Also affected by the redeployment is Deputy Corps Commander OJ Ohaeri, who moves from the Administration and Human Resources Department of the Road Safety Headquarters to serve as Deputy Corps Public Education Officer.

Mohammed noted that the changes form part of ongoing reforms aimed at repositioning the Corps for greater efficiency and professionalism.

He urged the affected officers to bring their experience and dedication to bear in their new assignments as the Corps continues to work towards safer roads across the country.

The FRSC reiterated its commitment to improving road safety through stronger operations, intelligence-driven enforcement, strategic public education and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
