Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo, recently declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be voted out in 2027.
Speaking in Bauchi, Adebayo accused the Tinubu administration of worsening poverty, insecurity, unemployment and corruption.
“The problem of Nigeria today is not just poverty or insecurity, but the danger of one-man rule,” he declared.
He alleged that the APC was suppressing opposition parties and weakening democracy, but vowed that the SDP would triumph in 2027.
“We will contest and by the grace of God, we will win for Nigerians,” he said.
Adebayo promised massive reforms in education, healthcare, infrastructure, employment and security if elected president.
He pledged to reduce poverty, create jobs, revive industries, restore refineries and provide free education and affordable healthcare.
On insecurity, he vowed to crush terrorism and banditry across the country.
The SDP candidate also criticised the removal of fuel subsidy, saying it worsened hardship for ordinary Nigerians.
He urged Nigerians to unite beyond religion and ethnicity and support competent leadership.
“Ask yourself whether the candidate deserves the office and has the capacity to perform,” he said.
Adebayo further called for national unity and people-focused governance.
“Work with me, for I am your servant. It is the turn of ordinary Nigerians to enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he declared.
