APC Celebrates Sen. Azuta-Mbata’s Election as 13th Ohanézè Ndígbo President-General
JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) extended its warmest congratulations to Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his election as the 13th President-General of Ohanézè Ndígbo worldwide, the foremost socio-cultural organization of the Igbo people.
In a statement signed by Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the party on Saturday, APC also recognized the contributions of the outgoing President-General, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu, who completed the tenure of the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu.
“Senator Azuta-Mbata’s election marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s history,” the statement read.
The APC highlighted Azuta-Mbata’s impressive public service record, noting his tenure as a two-term Senator where he effectively championed the welfare and interests of his constituents.
“With a stellar public service record…we are confident that Senator Azuta-Mbata will bring to bear his wealth of experience in providing a mature, purposeful and patriotic leadership for Ohanézè Ndígbo,” the statement emphasized.
The APC expressed its commitment to fostering collaboration, stating, “We assure the new leadership of Ohanézè Ndígbo of our Party’s readiness to explore areas of partnership towards advancing development, shared prosperity, unity, peace and progress of our great country.”
As Ohanézè Ndígbo embarks on this new chapter under Azuta-Mbata’s leadership, the APC wished the new president and his executive a “successful and remarkable tenure in the fulfilment of the organisation’s important mandate.”
