INEC Rejects Natasha’s Recall Petition

JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The independent Electoral Commission (INEC), has rejected the petition to recall the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduagban.

This was disclosed by INEC on Thursday, via its X  handle.

According to INEC,  the petition did not meet the requirements of Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended.

A detailed statement is expected shortly.

Section 69(a) of the Nigerian Constitution details the requirements needed for the legal recall of a senatorial member.
