Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola

A Member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aare Hon. Tolu Bankole, has described Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as a progressive leader and welfarist whose public service has positively impacted lives in Ogun State and beyond.

Bankole, in a birthday message issued on Monday to mark Adeola’s 57th birthday, said the senator had demonstrated a sustained commitment to people-centred governance, grassroots development and progressive ideals.

He said Adeola’s record in public service, spanning his years in the House of Representatives and the Senate, reflected a strong commitment to infrastructural development, youth empowerment, education and economic opportunities for vulnerable Nigerians.

According to Bankole, Adeola’s interventions went beyond partisan politics, focusing on initiatives capable of improving the living conditions of ordinary citizens.

“Senator Yayi embodies the very essence of progressive ideals that the APC stands for. His tenure in public service has been defined by a deep welfarist orientation, a commitment to people-centred governance, and sterling leadership records of achievements,” he said.

Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has remained a prominent political figure in Ogun State and within the APC.

Bankole said the senator’s experience and connection with the grassroots had positioned him as a rallying point for progressive politics and national development.

He described the celebrant as “the man for the job”, stressing that his capacity and experience remained valuable assets to the party and the country.

“At 57, Senator Yayi continues to demonstrate that he is truly ‘The man for the job.’ His capacity, experience, and connection with the grassroots make him a rallying point for progressive politics and nation-building,” Bankole said.

He argued that Nigeria required more leaders who could combine competence with compassion, noting that Adeola’s approach to public service provided an example of how political leadership could be centred on the welfare of citizens.

Bankole said the birthday celebration offered an opportunity for members of the APC, political associates and the senator’s supporters to acknowledge his contributions to public service and wish him continued success.

He prayed for the senator to be blessed with greater wisdom, good health and strength to continue serving his constituents, the APC and the nation.

Bankole also expressed hope that Adeola’s 57th year would open new opportunities for greater national impact.

He congratulated the senator and wished him continued blessings as he marked the milestone.
