CDCFIB Releases Shortlist for NSCDC, Immigration, Correctional, Fire Service Screening

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has moved the 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for four paramilitary services to the physical screening and document verification stage.

Applicants who took part in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted in November 2025 have been directed to check their shortlisting status on the board’s recruitment portal.

The development was announced in a statement signed on Friday by the Secretary of the board, Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (rtd).

According to the statement, applicants can access the recruitment portal from Monday, June 15, to Friday, June 20, to confirm whether they have been shortlisted.

Those checking their status are required to log in with the application number issued during the initial registration.

Shortlisted applicants will then be expected to upload their credentials and select a preferred date and venue for the physical screening.

The board urged candidates to carefully follow the instructions provided on the recruitment portal throughout the process.

It also warned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters claiming to have connections that could influence the recruitment exercise.

“The recruitment process is completely FREE,” the board stressed, warning that candidates should not pay anyone claiming to assist with shortlisting, document uploads, venue allocation, access to screening centres or final selection.

The CDCFIB further advised the public to disregard fraudulent recruitment messages, fake links and individuals or groups falsely presenting themselves as representatives of the board.

The recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) and Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The process began with online applications in July 2025, while candidates subsequently sat for the CBT in November.

The latest development brings the exercise closer to completion after months of waiting by applicants.

The board had previously said the recruitment was at its final stage and would be concluded within four weeks.

It had, however, maintained that the need for a credible and transparent process would take precedence over pressure to conclude the exercise quickly.

“It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services,” the board said.

It reiterated its commitment to ensuring that the recruitment is conducted transparently and on merit, in line with the rules governing appointments into the four paramilitary agencies.

Applicants are therefore expected to use only the official recruitment channel to confirm their status and complete subsequent requirements.
