President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Paris, France, for the second leg of his three-week annual leave in Europe.
Officials close to the President confirmed his arrival on Sunday, saying he was received by Nigeria’s Ambassador to France, Ayodele Oke. Visuals from the arrival were also made available.
Tinubu left Abuja on August 30 for the holiday, with London as his first destination. He later proceeded to Paris as he continues the private break.
The President’s three-week leave will end with his return to Abuja, where he is expected to resume official duties and join preparations for the January 2027 general election.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had announced the holiday in a statement titled “President Tinubu Begins Three-Week Leave”.
Tinubu’s departure came a week after the All Progressives Congress released its Presidential Campaign Council list. The list named Tinubu as chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
Paris has remained one of Tinubu’s most frequent foreign destinations since he assumed office in May 2023.
Records of his foreign engagements show that the President has visited the French capital at least 13 times. Those trips have covered more than 50 days, including official, working and private visits.
Overall, Tinubu has spent more than 270 days outside Nigeria since taking office. He has visited at least 30 countries across 51 unique and repeat foreign trips.
The President has also covered about 260,000 nautical miles during those journeys and accumulated more than 400 hours in flight.
