Tinubu reacts as court fixes Thursday 26th on Atiku, Obi’s cases against him

President Bola Tinubu has reacted to Supreme court’s announcement of Thursday, October 26 as date for judgment on outcome of the presidential election

It was reported that following the outcome of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on September 6, Atiku Abubakar (PDP) and Peter Obi (Labour Party) had dragged Tinubu (APC) to the apex court.

The Supreme Court had reserved verdict on both matters during the hearing on Monday, the court then announced October 26 to give verdict on the cases.

On Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, the special adviser to President Tinubu on information and strategy, expressed optimism that his principal will win at the apex court in a swift reaction via his X (Twitter) handle.

He tweeted: “The Supreme Court will give its verdict tomorrow in the appeals filed by the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

“They are challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, President Bola Tinubu in the 25 February election.

“We in the APC are hopeful for victory. We are hopeful that the apex court will affirm the sanctity of the 8.9m votes of Nigerians that gave President Tinubu victory last February.”
