Ondo PDP: State Working Committee announces Tola Alabere as acting Chairman

The State Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has announced Mr Tola Alabere, as the acting State Chairman of the party.
This was disclosed on Thursday at a press conference after an emergency meeting at the party’s secretariat in Akure.
The embattled Chairman of the Party, Mr Fatai Adams was suspended two days ago.
According to the suspension letter signed by the nine executive members, Mr Adams was suspended over alleged anti-party activities.
Following the suspension, the NWC, in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, declared the “said suspension as null and void and of no effect.”
Ologunagba said that “the NWC declares the said suspension null and void and of no effect, not being consistent with provisions of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017) and laid down rules
While the NWC described the suspension as null and void, the SWC insisted that the suspension is valid.
