
Air Force trainer aircraft crashes in Kaduna, pilots unhurt

Two pilots escaped unhurt as a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Super Mushshak trainer aircraft crashed in Kaduna.
A statement issued by the Spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, said the crash occurred at about 2.35pm.
“The accident, which occurred at about 3.5 nautical miles from Kaduna Military Airfield, involved two pilots, who were returning from a routine training flight.
“Luckily, both pilots came out of the crash unscathed”, it said.
Following the development, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, ordered a preliminary investigation to ascertain the cause of the crash.
“The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has since directed for preliminary investigation to ascertain the immediate cause of the crash”, the statement said.
