OndoDecides: Aiyedatiwa Leads as APC Scores Highest in 15 LGAs

•Collation Resumes at Noon

The candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa, is  already leading in the first batch of the Saturday’s Ondo State governorship election.

This has been confirmed through the results from 15 Local Governments announced at the INEC state headquarters Collation Center Akure, the capital city of the State.

According to the INEC Collation officer, Prof Olayemi Akinwunmi, from the Federal University, Lokoja, the collation will resume at noon.

The details of the 15 LGAs announced so far are as follows:

In Ifedore LGA: APC: scored 14,157 while PDP and SDP, scored 5,897 and 21 respectively.

In Ondo East LGA: APC: 8,163 while PDP: 2843 and SDP: 15.

IleOluji/OkeIgbo LGA: APC scored 16,600 PDP: 4,442. And in Idanre LGA: scored APC: 9,114 and PDP: 8940.

Others are Irele LGA: where APC: scored 17,117 and PDP: 6601.

In Akoko South West LGA: APC: 29,700, ADP: 87, PDP: 5,517, APGA:23 and SDP: 11.

In Owo LGA, the local government of the APC’s running mate: APC: 31, 914, ADP:140 and PDP: 4740.

In Ose LGA APC scored 16,555, LP:06, and PDP: 4472.

In Akure South LGA, the local government with the highest number of registered voters in the state: APC: 32,969 and PDP: 17,926.

Akoko North East: APC: 25,657, PDP: 5072 and SDP:03. While in Ondo West LGA: APC: 20,755, LP: 181 and PDP: 6387.

The rest are: Akoko South East APC: 12,140, APGA: 19 and PDP: 2692. 

In Akoko North West: APC: 25010 and PDP: 5502. In Okitipupa: Accredited voters= 38,814 while APC- scored 26,811 and PDP- 10,233 and in Akure North: Accredited Voters= 21,606; APC- 14,451 and PDP- 5,787.

Prof. Akinwunmi, who announced the recess, said it is to allow for the arrival of results from the remaining three local governments which he said are very far from Akure, the capital city.

The local governments are those regarded as the riverine area of the state.

“I think we can just adjourn till 12 noon please, two remaining local governments are not here, yes, so we adjourn till 12 noon. The local governments, Ilaje and Ese Odo are very far, so we need to give the time to arrive here, but we resume 12 noon,” Prof Akinwunmi said.
