Dr. Talle Calls for Balance of Faith Healing with Medicine at Ubomi Medical Outreach
JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The head of the Partnership Committee for Ubomi Outreach, Abuja, Dr. Talle Davidson has emphasized the importance of integrating faith healing with conventional medicine.
He made the call in Abuja over the weekend at the Ubomi free Medical Outreach organized by PISTIS Foundation in partnership with Elevation Church, Abuja.
The outreach, which marked its inaugural event in Abuja, provided free medical consultations and supplies to underserved communities, reflecting a commitment to improving public health.
Dr. Talle, a prominent business growth expert and co-founder of the innovative fitness app Nurika, articulated his belief that both faith and medicine play vital roles in healing.
“I believe God gives grace and wisdom for everything, every innovation. Medicine is an inspiration that came from God to humans, enabling us to heal people. Not everyone can rely solely on prayer at all times. When individuals take injections or medication, God uses these medical supplies to facilitate healing, and that is perfectly acceptable,” Talle said.
He further elaborated on the relationship between faith and medical intervention, likening it to advancements in technology. “Just as we embrace innovations like AI and robotics to enhance humanity, we should also recognize that medical solutions provide a necessary balance for those whose faith may not yet allow them to forgo medication entirely.
“It is not a sin to take medication; rather, it is a means through which God can administer healing and divine health to those who seek it,” he explained.

Dr. Talle also addressed the broader context of healthcare in Nigeria, acknowledging the challenges faced by the medical profession.
“While I commend the government for its efforts, there is still much more to be done.
“The exodus of medical professionals seeking opportunities abroad highlights the urgent need for improved welfare and remuneration for our healthcare workers. If the government can provide better support, we may retain more of these professionals within our borders,’’ he said.
Expressing gratitude for the outreach initiative, Talle noted, “I am super grateful to God for the opportunity to touch lives through this program. Seeing so many people access free medical solutions and consultations is a humbling experience.”
He therefore urged the government to bolster support for organizations like the PISTIS Foundation, which are dedicated to providing essential health services at no cost to the community.
