APC Felicitates with Nigerians on Eid-el-Kabir Celebration

JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended its felicitation to Nigerians, especially the Muslim Ummah, on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.

In a message signed Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, he said Eid el-Kabir, also known as Eid al-Adha, commemorates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, Ismail (Ishmael), as an act of utmost obedience to Almighty Allah.

He therefore urged Muslims faithful to rekindle their faith on the occasion of this year’s celebration.

“It (Eid al-Adha) symbolizes faith, obedience, sacrifice and devotion to God, priceless virtues that are central to our wholesome spiritual growth and development.

“We urge all Muslim faithful to leverage the occasion of this year’s celebration to rekindle their faith in Almighty Allah, and pray for the continued peace, unity, progress and prosperity of our dear nation,” Morka said.

In the spirit of the season, the APC Spokesperson also called on citizens to extend hands of fellowship and kindness to the poor and needy around us.

“Barka da Sallah, dear compatriots!,” he stated.
