Police Nab Two for Stealing Church Generator Battery

The Nigeria Police Force, Adamawa State Police Command attached to the State Intelligence Department have arrested two suspects for theft.

20-year-old Dad Yusuf, and, 27-year-old Gibson Husseini, both residents of Upper Luggere, Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area, were arrested for stealing 100Ah Mikano generator battery in the church.

In a statement issued on Sunday by the spokesman of the command, Suleiman Nguroje, the police said that the suspects were arrested on June 28, 2025.

The police furthered that they confessed to stealing the battery from the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria Cathedral, Jimeta, on June 23, 2025, at about 11:00 p.m.

Nguroje said, “Investigation is ongoing to identify more accomplices and recover more stolen items”.

The statement disclosed that the suspects would be charged in court after the conclusion of the investigation.
