FG, States, LGs Share N1.818trn as June  Allocation

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N1.818 trillion to the Federal Government, States, and Local Government Councils as Federation Allocation for June 2025, drawn from a gross total revenue of N4.232 trillion.

The announcement was made in a communiqué issued at the end of the FAAC meeting for July 2025, chaired by the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun.

According to the statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Manga, the Federal Government received N645.383 billion, States received N607.417 billion, and Local Government Councils got N444.853 billion. Additionally, Oil-producing states received N120.759 billion as 13% derivation revenue.

The communiqué further explained that the total revenue comprised Gross Statutory Revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), Exchange Difference, and a N100 billion augmentation from Non-Mineral Revenue.

A significant chunk of the gross revenue—N2.251 trillion—was earmarked for Transfers, Intervention and Refunds, while N162.786 billion was deducted for cost of collection.

Revenue from Value Added Tax (VAT) amounted to N678.165 billion, showing a decrease of N64.655 billion from the previous month. After statutory deductions, N631.507 billion was shared: the Federal Government received N94.726 billion, States got N315.754 billion, and Local Governments received N221.027 billion.

Gross Statutory Revenue saw a notable increase, rising to N3.385 trillion from N2.094 trillion in May 2025. Out of the distributable balance of N1.018 trillion, the Federal Government received N474.455 billion, States N240.650 billion, LGs N185.531 billion, and Derivation Revenue accounted for N118.256 billion.

Additionally, revenue from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) totaling N30.380 billion was distributed with the Federal Government getting N4.375 billion, States N14.582 billion, and LGs N10.208 billion. The cost of collection stood at N1.215 billion.

From the Exchange Difference revenue of N38.849 billion, the Federal Government received N19.147 billion, States N9.712 billion, LGs N7.487 billion, while Oil-producing states received N2.503 billion.

An augmentation of N100 billion from Non-Mineral Revenue was also shared: Federal Government received N52.680 billion, States N26.720 billion, and Local Governments N20.600 billion.

The FAAC communiqué noted an increase in revenue from Companies Income Tax (CIT), Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), and EMTL, but a decline in VAT, Oil and Gas Royalties, Import Duty, Excise Duty, and CET Levies.

Summarizing the distributable revenue, the statement said:

“The total revenue distributable for the current month of June 2025 was drawn from Statutory Revenue of N1.018 trillion, VAT of N631.507 billion, N29.165 billion from EMTL, an augmentation of N100.000 billion from Non-Mineral Revenue, and the sum of N38.849 billion from Exchange Difference.”

Earlier during the meeting, Minister Wale Edun extended condolences on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the loss as profound.

“The country is still in the mourning mood,” he stated, adding that “the former President’s death was a great loss not only to his immediate family but the country as a whole.”

He commended FAAC members for their dedication to actualizing the economic policy objectives of the Tinubu-led administration.
