FG, King Salman Foundation Partner to Boost Development
JOEL OLADELE, Abuja

The Federal Government has entered into a new partnership with the King Salman Foundation to support key development projects across Nigeria.
The agreement followed a meeting in Abuja between the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, and representatives of the Foundation.
The discussion focused on areas such as education, health, poverty reduction, agriculture, and food security, all aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite said the partnership would help deliver the goals of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“This partnership is a major step in our effort to create better opportunities for Nigerians. We are happy about the Foundation’s interest in helping with malaria control, nutrition, agriculture, and resolving conflicts between herders and farmers,” she said.
Uzoka-Anite praised the Foundation for choosing to work with Nigeria and noted its global record of successful partnerships in over 100 countries.
The leader of the King Salman Foundation delegation, Dr. Ali Alghamdi, assured the minister of the organisation’s full support.
“We are ready to work closely with the government to help achieve its development goals,” he said.
The King Salman Foundation is one of the donors to the Lives and Livelihoods Fund (LLF) of the Islamic Development Bank, which provides grants for humanitarian and development projects in member countries.
Analysts say the partnership marks an important milestone for Nigeria, with the potential to bring lasting improvements in health, education, and food security.
