US Publishes Names, Photos of 112 Nigerians on Deportation List

The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released an updated list containing the names and photographs of 112 Nigerians facing removal from the country.

The latest publication marks a reduction from an earlier list and identifies Nigerians from different parts of the country.

DHS made the names, photographs and other available details accessible through its official online platform as part of its immigration enforcement activities.

Among those identified are Cletus Onyali, Olaolu Alabi, Marcus Unigwe, Mkpouto Etukudoh and Blessing Uchanma.

Others named include Olaniyi Ojikutu, Richard Ugbah, Oluwamuyiwa Olawoye, Anthony Asanya and Ebele Agbasiele.

The list also contains Izuchukwu Okoye, Olufemi Olufisayo Olutiola, Abiemwense Obanor, Chibuzo Nwaonu and Oluchi Jennifer Chimdimma Chime.

Ifeanyi Okoro, Oluwaseun Kassim, Quazeem Adeyinka and Talatu Dada also appear among those identified in the updated publication.

The remaining names, together with photographs and other information, are available through the DHS online portal.

The latest development comes amid intensified immigration enforcement in the United States, particularly against undocumented immigrants and people with outstanding removal orders.

US authorities have also continued efforts to secure cooperation from foreign governments in receiving nationals who have been ordered to leave the country.

The development has renewed attention on the cooperation between Washington and Nigeria over the return of Nigerian nationals subject to removal orders.

However, inclusion on a removal-related list does not necessarily mean that an individual has already been deported.
