Bankole Hails Gov. Abiodun as Ogun APC Holds Peaceful Ward, LGA Congresses

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aare (Hon.) Tolu Bankole, has commended Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for what he described as exemplary leadership that ensured peaceful and inclusive ward and local government congresses across the state.

In a statement signed on Monday, Bankole praised the governor’s role in fostering unity and harmony within the party, noting that the congresses were conducted without rancour in all wards and the 20 local government areas of Ogun State.

He said the smooth exercise demonstrated that the APC in the state remains united and well coordinated under Abiodun’s leadership.

“Under his guidance, the APC in Ogun State is firmly in safe hands, as vividly demonstrated by the rancour-free, transparent, unprecedented, and highly inclusive ward and local government congresses successfully conducted across all wards and the 20 Local Government Areas,” Bankole stated.

According to him, the governor created an atmosphere that encouraged broad participation and ensured that stakeholders felt carried along throughout the process.

Bankole said reports from across the state confirmed that the congresses were free, fair, peaceful and inclusive, adding that the development reflects the party’s commitment to internal democracy and good governance.

He also appreciated other party leaders and stakeholders for their cooperation and maturity, which he said contributed significantly to the success of the exercise.

The APC chieftain congratulated newly elected ward and local government executives, urging them to uphold the party’s ideals of progressivism, inclusivity, accountability and selfless service.

“As we look forward to the upcoming State Congress, I call for the same synergy, camaraderie, and rancour-free approach that defined these ward and LGA congresses. We are better and stronger together,” he added.

Bankole expressed confidence that the successful conduct of the congresses has laid a solid foundation for future party activities in Ogun State.
