Maurice defends NBA for Portable’s performance at AGC.

The immediate past Social Secretary of Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers’ Forum(NBA YLF) Abuja Unity Bar, Maurice Oru Ebam Esq has come out to defend NBA against backlash and public critic for inviting Portable, the Zazoo crony to perform at its Annual General Conference (AGC)
Maurice noted this in Abuja on Thursday, adding that the issue must be clarified to prevent a further backlash from Nigerians who were disappointed by the performance of Portable.
Recall that some lawyers on Thursday staged a walkout at the event. The programme which was tagged ‘Unbarred’ was held at the Velodrome of the MKO Abiola Stadium.
Many of the lawyers questioned the choice of the Zazu singer and opted to walk out of the show.
Defending the choice of Portable as the guest performer, Maurice said “the Cubana Group were in charge of the NBA friendship center and as we all know Portable is a brand ambassador of Odwugu Bitters owned by Obi Cubana as Portable was only brought in to boost their sales only for their product.
He added that “The NBA must sincerely be appreciated. Lawyers are social engineers for not discriminating. Portable does not match the seemingly standard of lawyers and most respectable individuals don’t vibe to his songs.
“Portable must be respected. He is a man with visions and confidence to pursue it to reality no matter the odd against him.” Maurice said.
