Temi Nkem has emerged winner of Big Brother Naija Season 11, “Show Ya Sef”, after a dramatic grand finale that brought the 70-day reality television competition to a close on Sunday.

Nkem defeated the remaining finalists to claim the season’s N160 million grand prize after starting the competition among 24 housemates who entered the Big Brother house on July 26.

Her victory came after a tense finale that saw the housemates leave the competition one after another before the final announcement. The result crowned Nkem as the 11th winner of the Nigerian edition of the reality show.

The Season 11 competition featured a series of twists, evictions, alliances and controversies that repeatedly changed the dynamics inside the house.

One of the major twists was the Gambit format, which brought Aikou and Flora into the competition under special conditions. Their status was later changed, allowing them to compete for the grand prize.

The season also recorded the disqualification of Whitney “Nomy” Chukwu after repeated violations of Big Brother’s rules. Keivo was later disqualified in the final week following a physical altercation with Tram.

Another major turning point came when Barry, who held the Ultimate Veto Power, chose “Immunity For All”. His decision ensured that the 10 remaining housemates secured places in the final week before Keivo’s subsequent disqualification reduced the field to nine.

Nkem’s own journey also featured notable moments. She survived the competition through several rounds of nominations and became one of the most discussed finalists as the show approached its climax.

She was among the trio of housemates who faced a fake eviction in the final week alongside Ricky and Tram. The three later returned to the house after Biggie revealed the twist.

The final stage eventually featured Nkem, Aikou, Sheba, Flora, Tram, Ricky, Oyin, Bluethopia and Barry.

As the finale progressed, the field was progressively reduced until Nkem remained as the last housemate standing.

The “Show Ya Sef” season began with 24 contestants and lasted 70 days, making the finale the culmination of more than two months of competition.

The grand prize package was valued at N160 million, comprising cash and a car. Earlier reports put the package at N100 million in cash and a N60 million car, although another report noted that weekly deductions had reduced the cash component.

The finale, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, also featured musical performances as viewers watched the remaining housemates make their final exits.

Nkem’s victory now places her alongside previous winners of the Nigerian reality show, with the Season 11 crown passing from Season 10 winner Imisi to the new champion.
