He therefore charged indigenes on patriotism and love for the land and called on them to contribute their quota towards the infrastructure and socio-economic developments in the community.

He stated that the government alone cannot effectively fund  all the needs of the people, adding that time has come for well meaning individuals from the community and friends of the community to look inward on how best they can complement government effort towards development of infrastructure.

“I urge you all not to relent in your efforts towards making Oba a great land God has destined it to be, the task ahead of us requires communal efforts.

“While we look up to the government for help, it is obvious the destiny of the land lies in the hands of each and everyone of us as the government has a lot of responsibilities to attend to.

“That is why I am appealing to sons and daughters of Oba-Isin,  both at home and in diaspora, to extend their hands of fellowship to build a community we can proudly call our own” the monarch said.

Speaking on the forthcoming annual council meeting, Oloba of Oba assured everyone of maximum security as efforts are on top gear to engage local vigilantes and security officers to that effect.

While commending  those who have donated generously towards the maiden edition of Oba Day, coming up on Saturday December 30, the traditional ruler assured that every kobo donated would be channeled towards the purpose it was meant for.
