Bwala meets Tinubu in France amid rumours of defection

Daniel Bwala, the former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar campaign organization, was seen in France today with President Bola Tinubu amidst rumours of defection.

“It was a pleasure to meet with the father of the nation @officialABAT President Bola Tinubu in Paris today. He continues to share his thoughts and demonstrate his passion to lead Nigeria out of the woods.”

The politician shared this information on his social media account.

This comes after Bwala’s previous visit to President Tinubu at Aso Rock, the Nigerian seat of power, on the 10th of January 2024.

After this visit, Nigerians accused him of joining the APC, but Bwala cleared himself of these allegations on Channels TV.

He stated that he visited the president to commend him on how he has handled the insecurity challenges in the country.

The recently surfaced picture on social media of Bwala with President Tinubu has raised the question of whether he is still with the PDP or has joined Tinubu’s party, considering his recent close association with the president.

It is worth noting that President Tinubu had travelled to France on a private visit last weekend.

Daniel Bwala was one of the most outspoken opposition to President Tinubu’s bid during the last general election held in 2023.
