Street-hop artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has protested his loss to skit maker Carter Efe following their much-publicised celebrity boxing bout in Lagos.

The contest, held in the early hours of Saturday at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, was the headline event of “Chaos in the Ring 4” and ended in a unanimous decision victory for Carter Efe. All three judges scored the fight 27–30 in favour of the comedian, who controlled much of the three-round encounter.

Shortly after the bout, Portable took to Instagram Live to express dissatisfaction with the outcome, alleging bias and unfair officiating.

“I was robbed. Carter Efe was not professional enough. He was strangling with his long hands and height,” he said. “I threw him many punches, why didn’t you people count them? Any blow that I threw to him ought to count even if it meets him on the shoulder or hand.”

The singer also demanded payment from organisers, claiming he was owed substantial earnings from the event.

“And to the organisers, I want my stream money amounting to about N200 million. Just give me my money before I cause trouble,” he added.

Continuing his outburst, Portable insisted that the fight was tilted in favour of his opponent. “They did ojoro for me. Carter Efe was just holding my neck. I was punching him too but you people are not talking about that,” he said.

Despite his frustration, the singer struck a more reflective tone when speaking about his personal life, noting that the birth of his child outweighed the disappointment of defeat.

“You can only buy a belt with money, but a child cannot be bought,” he said. “My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I value that more than a belt.”

The loss marks Portable’s first setback in the celebrity boxing scene, ending a winning streak that had boosted his profile beyond music.

He had previously defeated Nollywood actor Charles Okocha in a widely followed bout in December 2023, before recording another victory in 2025 against Speed Darlington, who withdrew after sustaining an injury.

Ahead of Saturday’s fight, Portable had expressed confidence in extending his unbeaten run, boasting that he would secure a third title. Carter Efe, however, countered with his own prediction, promising a swift victory.

Inside the ring, the comedian made effective use of his height and reach advantage, landing cleaner punches and dictating the pace of the fight, a performance that ultimately earned him a unanimous decision from the judges.
