Iran Threatens Reprisals Against Google, Apple Over Killings of its Leaders

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to target major American technology companies if further Iranian leaders are killed in what it described as “targeted assassinations.”

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Guards named firms including Apple, Google and Meta, alleging they were complicit in operations used to identify and track Iranian officials.

The group warned that the companies “should expect the destruction of their relevant units” in response to any future assassinations, urging employees to vacate their workplaces to avoid harm.

The threat comes amid escalating tensions between Iran and a United States–Israel alliance, following a series of high-profile killings of Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior military figures.

Iran accused Washington and its allies of ignoring repeated warnings to halt actions targeting its leadership, claiming that technology firms play a central role in intelligence gathering and operational planning.

The statement also listed other multinational firms such as Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Tesla, Palantir Technologies and Nvidia as potential targets.

“Companies that actively participate in terrorist designs will face reciprocal action for every targeted assassination,” the Guards said, without specifying where any retaliatory measures would occur.

Residents living near facilities linked to the named firms in parts of the region were also advised to relocate for safety.

The development comes as US President Donald Trump said his administration was pursuing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, while warning that military pressure on Iran could intensify.

Recent weeks have seen heightened hostilities, with reports of drone strikes targeting infrastructure across the region. Earlier in March, facilities linked to Amazon in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were reportedly hit or damaged in related attacks.

Iran’s military also claimed it had launched drone strikes on key communication and industrial sites in Israel, including facilities linked to Siemens and AT&T, though there was no immediate confirmation from Israeli authorities.

While the United States and Israel maintain that their actions have significantly weakened Iran’s leadership structure, analysts say Tehran retains the capacity to respond and recalibrate its strategy.

The latest warning signals a widening dimension to the conflict, raising concerns over the potential targeting of corporate infrastructure and the broader implications for global technology and security networks.
