Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, actress Adebimpe Oyebade, have announced the arrival of their triplet sons, five years after their marriage, marking a significant milestone in a journey that had drawn public attention.
The couple shared the news on their Instagram pages, expressing gratitude and joy while reflecting on a period of relative silence on social media, which they said was deliberate.
In a joint message, Adedimeji explained that their absence online was to focus on what he described as the “greatest blessing” of their lives.
“I’ve been quiet… not absent. I was building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing of my life,” he wrote.
Describing his wife as “a woman who became a mother of three,” the actor celebrated the birth of the children as more than he had hoped for, adding that the newborns represent his “world, responsibility and legacy.”
The couple, who got married in December 2021, had faced persistent public speculation about their family life, particularly around childbearing.
At one point, Adedimeji had spoken out against online criticism, revealing that his wife had been labelled “barren” by a social media user — a remark he dismissed while urging her to ignore negativity.
Despite the scrutiny, both actors maintained a relatively private approach to their personal lives, occasionally addressing public concerns but largely focusing on their careers and relationship.
Mo Bimpe had previously shared insights into their relationship, including initial resistance from her parents before their eventual union.
The announcement of the triplets has since drawn congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues within the film industry, many describing the development as a moment of joy and vindication for the couple.
